Porsche recently launched 99X Electric which marks the entry of Porsche into the world of Formula E. The model is said to have expectations as the name implies number 9 twice to emphasize the importance of the Formula E project for the company. Porsche also said that its racing car will function as a development platform for future production of electric vehicles.
Not much needs to be said about the exterior design, because the appearance is very reflective of the vehicles used to compete. However, the company implemented a traditional Porsche motorsport livery that featured black, white and red. This model also has a leading Porsche badging as well as a label that promotes everything from Hugo Boss to Vodafone.
Porsche applies Formula E regulations that stipulate a standard chassis and battery, but the source of the drive is left to the manufacturer. As a result, the company developed a special E-Performance Powertrain that utilizes their experience in LMP1.
A reliable powertrain can produce up to 335 horsepower, but is limited to 268 horsepower in Race Mode and 316 in Attack Mode. Without limitation, this car can accelerate from 0-100 km / h in just 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 280 km / h.
The drivers will compete with the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team and the vice president of Porsche Motorsport, Fritz Enzinger, said that through the inaugural launch of the Porsche 99X Electric, they are taking a big step towards the entry of Porsche's work in Formula E and hope to be able to immediately see the action of 99X Electric on the track racing.
